The idea for mass production of battery driven vehicles must be combined with the individual need for individual supply of energy. This strategy ensures the lowest numbers of conversion interfaces in the flow of electricity and gives simultaneously the highest rate of efficiency.
Petrol driven cars will be high class segments in emerging markets.
The second team must look for regions with a high rate of wind speeds and/or periodof sunshine. We want to demonstrate the individual chances for charging batteries in different locations.
The team must find a rechargable battery on the global market for the vehicle with the gross weight of 400 kilos and over a distance of 50kilometers.
The new paradigm for transportation will not only to sell a vehicle, but include the consultance to fit individual source of energy. That will lead to the lowest possible number of interfaces for charging batteries. Plugging into the national network of electricity must be possible only in case of emergency.
In the future the legislation will demand the vehicle`s owner responsibility for energy supply. The future system will always consist of a set of two batteries. One will feed the driving vehicle, one will be stationed with the energy supply. This means to have enough time for loading. The design of the vehicle must garantee a quick exchange ofthe battery system. The weight must not exceed 10ks each. This will be reached by adouble system, which is placed on each axle for short distances to the wheel hub motors and front and rear lights. This is also important to avoid a complicated and heavy cable harness.
Using the brake energy is part of the wheel hub motor drive. The same characteristic of the motor can be used for braking. For emergency braking there is a need for a mechanical hand brake with high friction on the tyres.
The batteries, placed under the seats, have to be blocked in case of theft. This will be part of the total electronic theft protection system.
Premium Vehicles with a longer distance capability have a need for high class batteries. Those with higher weights must have an automated interface with the battery charger, which will be the future petrol station, but with their own energy source ,i.e wind-or solar parc.
